Question COuld it be???

So I Purchased a 99 trans am that came with long tube headers with dual 3" off road pipes loud *** hell.So i took it to some muffler shop to have them make it a lil quieter. So the "proffesional" suggested 2 get 2 resonators installed before the x pipe. couple of days later the car sounds like **** and feels like ive lost a whole lot of horsepower.it even seems like my tunes off?can the resonator i installed be the problem?please help

Do you trust this shop in question? Check to make sure everything is on the car. I personally have a hard time leaving my car at a shop overnight.

Next check for you usual plug wires burnt or bad 02's, ect.

Why would you install anything before the x?

i do trust the shop bin going ther for many years. and i left the car ther for only 30 min.But the reason he instaled before the x pipe was cuz theres a pair of pipe mufflers after the x pipe. but i will check the wires and all tomorow when ther is more light.

do you have pics under the car? I would of added some high flow cats to quiet it down a bit, but resonators before the x? Hmmmm....

Yeah Add some High flow cats Instead of the resonators.

On the topic. Yeah Check for Burned wires. They get burnt much easier with Headers.

If the resonators are a straight through design, I don't see it having a significant impact on on your exhaust set up. If the symptoms only showed up 2 days later and not immediately after, I would look elsewhere for the problem.
