Cadillac CTS-V - unexpected problems

Just got my car back from the shop today from the tune for the maggie. Car put down 490RWHP. All I can say is its awesome.
One issue though. Whenever I am at WOT and I try to switch from second to third, it seems like my shifter gets really squirly. I missed it so many times and it just makes it way into 5th. All the gears seem harder to get into; but 2nd to 3rd is the worse.
I never really beat on my clutch. No burnouts, doughnuts, etc etc. It also seemed fine before I put this supercharger on. Do you think the stock clutch isnt able to handle the power? Most the time even at low speeds the shifter still gets a little loose feeling.
To make it a little more clear on the second to third issue, its hard to get it out of second and when I get it out, it seems to go on a cross country journey
Anyone have this problem? I dont wana buy a new clutch if it's a simple fix
The clutch resivour is full also btw

bleed the clutch, check the linkage.. I have read of tons of other guys at the same power level or higher using the stock clutch
At WOT it is a common problem to get locked out of gear.. it sometimes happens to me with only headers

I have thensame problem. And from what I've heard and found it's thenmaster cylinder being to small and not disengaging the clutch fully. I've got a spec stage 3 clutch and flywheel as well. I'm actually looking into a new shifter and all new bushings to see if that help bc mine is all stock and has slot of play in it as well.

Oh and congrats on the completion and the numbers man. That's damn near exactly what I made before my recent cam swap.

Does that sound like a clutch issue though?
I never used to get locked out of gear before. That's what I dont understand. This started happening like 50 miles after I drove it off from the shop.
The only other thing I could think is that because my injectors were maxed out, my tuner brought my redline down to 6,000k so I wouldnt lean out. But I dont think that would have anything to do with it, because he is very good at what he does

Yeah, ive got pisnuoff's short throw and Ive had that since I bought my car so I'm good there
Can you use a different slave cylinder with our clutch?

I'm nitnsure aboutnthe slave cylinder. I haven't been inside my trans since I bought the car. I do know that no one makes an aftermarket adjustable master cylinder for our cars though.

should I just buy a new clutch?
My car is not very enjoyable to drive at the moment

I would say it's def a personal call. Im def glad Ive got an upgraded one. Since of security when you're hammering Down on it. And it could help but I'm not Gunnar say that I'm 100% sure that will solve your problems.

ok. I just dont know that much about clutches.
The pedal doesnt stick to the floor. It has the same feel as it did before; but I can barley shift the car at WOT. And it's a little less difficult cruising around town
If it's the master or slave cylinder, i'd rather just get those replaced
The thing I dont understand is how more power would make a master or slave not work correctly like it did before. I've been doing some google searches, but have come up empty so far

Ya I feel ya. I too am not an expert. Just going off whaT experiences I've had with mine. I would let. Few others chime in and seevwhat they say

Sounds like a hydraulic issue to me maybe the master? How is the line routed to the trans, maybe your fluid is boiling.
BTW not to be a dick, but you only gained 64rwhp from a $4,000 blower?

I use DOT4/5. But like I said, this has never happened before the install. Can masters or slaves go bad from adding "more power?"
It's not "tuned" to it's full extent because of the injectors. I have to get 60LB ones I was told

Also, if I was going to get a new clutch, what would you guys get for a high performance street clutch that will be able to hold, let's say somewhere around 510RWHP when i'm done

Mcleod RXT or an RPS twin disk.

With all of that new power, how are your motor mounts holding up? If they are bad, I could see where the extra movement could cause the linkage to bind and make for rough shifting. I remember when my V1 mounts went bad, shifting was a nightmare. It was night and day after they were replaced.

I'd check linkage and bleed the clutch first... Realize too that more power equals more force on the transmission if you have worn syncros or mounts it will show...

linkage is good
MM's still look good, and so does the trans mount. Both from CS

Almost sounds like a tranny issue... If it were clutch related it should be seen in more than just a 2-3 shift... There is a brace setup for the shifter itself... make sure it's all intact because lateral movement could be the culprit

checked that. I'm gonna try and get a video that I can post up for you guys
tuner says it's the clutch. But I wanted to see if this happened to anyone else before I go and buy an LS9 setup

what all mods do you have done to your car?
It sounds like a tranny issue more then a clutch to me...

what about your transmission mount has it ever been replaced?

Cs tranny mount. Changed the clutch fluid. All low speed shifting is better. But wot from 2nd to 3rd is terrible

I think it's that rear end. You need to yank it out & send it to me in TN. Lol I am not sure what it could be. Sounds hydraulic.
