Default Truck manifold wastegate sources

Wrapping up my turbo 4.8 build and I'm just trying to figure out the best places to get the wastegate and bov vacuum/pressure sources. My main question is, is it safe to T off the line that goes from the top of the throttle body to the passenger side valve cover for the wastegate?

Is it also ok to T off the line that goes from the top of the intake to the back of the driver side valve cover?

If there are better places for these sources, let me know. I already have my electronic boost controller pressure sensor and boost gauge running off that port about 3/4 of the way back on the passenger side of the intake that you can cut off for a pressure/vacuum source.

Any advice will be appreciated

No, this line is for pulling air out of the crankcase. If you are running a turbo you can't have this line going from the t/b to the passenger valve cover any way since you'd be boosting into the crank case.

Again, this is for the PCV system. You are going to have to get a catch can or breathers and block off the stock PCV setup.

I run a vacuum manifold, (northern tool has one for like $10) that has 7 1/4npt ports on the front and a 3/8th npt port on the back. You connect the 3/8th to the line that goes from the intake to the brake booster and then connect all of your vacuum lines to the manifold.

Thanks for that info! How did you go about blocking your PVC setup?

Can I block the pcv system then just run the line from the top of the TB to my wastegate..etc?

You will need to setup a vented catch can or a sealed catch can with a check valve if you want to retain PCV function.

Would this work as a good manifold vacuum?

That is the one I use. I sand blasted off the color and painted it black.
