Default cam choice :)

Well I want a mild cam. I'm not crazy like you guys with the T REX cams lol. I'll be running mac mids, ory, with TSP rumbler. I might do a LSx/6 intake, this is just a bolt on car. I was thinkin hot cam, or ls6 cam. But I think i can go maybe 1 step up from that and still drive it to work everyday. I drive it about 20 miles a day. and maybe 200 miles on the weekend. Let me know which cam you guys would choose.

The MTI stealth cams make great power and are pretty quiet and are pretty tame idle wise.

Doesnt sound too bad... I dont really want people to know I have a cam. A little lope is ok. Just nothing really loud and easy to hear.

I'm bad about picking cams also. Call futral Alan and Candy are the best people I have EVER delt with. I spent hours on the phone with them and they were nice from start to finish and they understand most people don't know to much about cams. I've read just about every cam tread since December so do your reserch first to get a clue. People like the 224 for a mild cam f2 which I ordered had for 2 months but have not installed. Reading all these new cam treads convinced me to send the cam back and get the f4 226 cam. O Alan and Candy took the first cam back and are sending me the new cam at no charge. Alan and Candy were as nice after the sale as they were before the sale. Costomer service is a 10+ with them and from what I have read there cams rock as well. I don't work for them I have just had some really shitty service with my car in the past

I have MTI's old T1 cam and love it. I know there's more power to be made by going to a wilder stick, but the damn thing has such great street manners that I won't switch cams until it's time for an engine swap. I get 24-25mpg cruising at 75-80mph(with 4.11's), and even with a lot of in town driving I don't think I've ever done worse than 19mpg (except the car's only trip to the track). On big hills, I leave it in 6th with the cruise on at 1600rpm, and it handles it no problem. The car doesn't even act like it has a cam in it, and there is only a very slight lope at idle.

Get the LPE GT2-3 cam. Specs are 207/220 578/580 118.5LSA. Stock idle and gives you great power through the power band. Having mine installed in two weeks

I have had the TR220 for a while. It is very mild, and makes decent power. I would suggest a 224/114 cam though. My 220 will soon be replaced by a 228R.

There are a lot of good cams out there that will meet your requirements. You can't go wrong the the GT2-3 or the TR224.

I have the LS6 cam and ran the time in my sig. with stock tuning. After the installation of a converter (TCI3800) and a dyno tune, I should be in the 11's.
