I have not posted here in a while, but was just wondering if anyone was interested in listening to my band and giving me their opinion.
Here are a couple of clips from our first show.
Thank you in advance!

well first off let me say its not my type of music. its the kind of music i have to be in the mood to listen too. with that said, you guys have good rhythm and your (the lead singers) voice isnt that bad.

just my .02 id throw just a few screams or some attitude to throw a curveball.

I pretty much always dislike all these generic cookie cutter new rock bands from the past 10 years, and your band MAY sound just a little like them.... but with that said you guys are pretty damn good. Honestly better than most mainstream bull shit

Songs are good man. I would add a break somewhere in the song. Whether it be a guitar solo, a long drum fill or something. Possibly a tempo change. As a musician listening, I get kind of bored of the same riff for 5 minutes.

Vocals And rythm need more range, sounds nasal and monotone 90% of the time, backup vocals could help.. Second song the vocals didn't start very cleanly.. Almost seemed outta place... Singer has range and needs to use it more.. Dont get stuck in a rut where every song is crying over something or has to tell a story ..
Just my opinion.. Comming from a drummer/vocalist who has played many venues, had air time, won battles and opened for Drowning Pool then The Sex Slaves...
And remember when record company's or exec's are giving you a listen the first 10 seconds of any givin song will make or break you.
Keep up the work

I am all over the board with my musical interest...aside from modern cookie cutter, hood ornament singers with otherwise zero talent pop artists/groups and bluegrass... I hate to judge a new band just on a couple of songs since every band has a few stinkers here and there, but these are actually pretty decent. Granted these are live recordings so the sound is not...let's say "optimal" but is pretty good. A better studio mix would help bring out some of the guitar sounds.

It does need something to break it up a bit, though. Even if it is a small change up or solo it would help break up the repetive riff.

As for the singer (which may be the OP?), there is a lot of potential here but you need to work on it a bit. The biggest mistake a lot of singers make is that they "just sing". They really don't have any idea of what they are singing about or don't relate to the words so the whole thing comes off as artificial and forced. Be more aggressive and pour some emotion into it. I'm not talking about Mudvayne level aggressive (I do like Mudvayne), rather just get into the song itself more. The singer shouldn't be "another instrument".

Overall, I'd say the group as a whole sounds better than what you'd find in your average local pub, but not quite ready for prime time. Granted I am not a musician or a singer so what do I know...

Keep at it. There is a lot of potential here. It just needs a little more polishing.

you guys sound all right. as a musician and former band member the only criticisms i have are bring the lead guitar down some and bring the rhythm guitarist up a tad. the singer has a good voice. but throw in something unique and different like synthesizers, use a talkbox on guitar, slap the bass, etc. do your own versions of cover songs. people often get tired of the same bands with the same sounds.

The singer's voice belongs with some harder music behind it, I kept thinking of Smashing Pumpkins for whatever reason. You guys are WAY better than I was expecting, but all of this is from a complete non-artist who just likes loud music.

I like the bluesy rock feel. A tad different than these obnoxious Indie bands I hear too much of. As already stated break it up a bit, throw some mix in there. I am by no means a musician, well not for a while. I do like it though man, I think you guys would do fine.

hmm, i agree that the music was decent. if i was flipping through the radio stations and i caught the beginning of one of the songs i dont know if i would stay there. they pick up a little as the song goes on and i stayed interested. i dont know. id give it 6.5 out of 10. a lot of that could be the live show though. good luck with it.
