What do you FI nuts prefer? A 5.3 bored to a 5.7 or just start with a 5.7?? Will be forged internals and looking for the 800-850rwhp mark with a 76mm... Was looking for an Ls1 but have found some good deals on 5.3s... Not needing or looking for a big cube motor right now either

It would make no difference at all really. Both will get you that HP . The 5.7 might spool it a hair quicker, but not worth the extra money to make the 5.3 bigger in my opinion.... if they were both the same compression you probably wouldnt notice.
