Default 5.3 Blazer Xtreme MP T-76

The past few weeks I have been attempting to swap a V8 into my 2001 Space Blue Blazer Xtreme. I have forever wanted to do this and three years ago I finally purchased the Xtreme. Now I have started the process, below are some pics of my progress. I'll update as I keep going. Here is a list of the parts I am using and some questions I have. For now I will be starting the car N/A and then eventually constructing my rearmount turbo kit. Thanks for looking.

Truck accessories and ls1 waterpump
H3 5.3 oil pan

Ok today I was attempting to put my transmission on but came across a problem. I attempted to use the 6.0 flexplate that came with my 4l80e but the converter holes did not line up. So I then attempted to use the 5.3 flexplate and the conveter holes lined up but now my flexplate bolts are too long because the flexplate from the 6.0 had a spacer on it. My question is do I need to buy the spacer for the conveter/4l80e setup I'm using. The 5.3 flexplate does not have a spacer on it. Or could I just find some shorter bolts and bolt it up without using a spacer. Thanks.

I'd probably just buy some shorter bolts.

Why are you using a corvette filter?
Should use a return rising rate fpr fuel.system

This is the info I have seen on other swaps in s10's.

From s10forum.com:
There are many solutions to fueling an LS motor in an S10, which requires a rail pressure of 58-62 psi:

- Use a stock 2.2 Flex fuel fuel pump
- Walbro 255 in place of the stock 4.3 pump.
- In-line external fuel pump. (least favored solution)

For a 2.2L Flex fuel truck, NO MODIFICATIONS are required to the fuel system! The factory flex fuel pump has supported 491RWHP and the filter has a built in regulator. Same as the Corvette. Used (2) Russell part# 640850 fittings and a short section of braided stainless line that was all that was required.

Is the corvette filter/regulator not ideal for this type of swap?
Any other answers for my transmission/flexplate question. Thanks

Why are youusing a 4l80-e tranny? There's not much wrong with a 60e, the 80 is pretty big.

Just for the future when I end up puting a turbo. I didn't want to spend extra money on an expensive 60e. I've heard of 80e holding up in pretty much stock form. Plus don't want to be pulling this trans out every year or so.

That assumes if just a basic n/a swap. U can use the corvette fpr/filter and the truck will run with or without a turbo.
But since ur starting from scratch, why not use a rising rate return fuel system?

I guess just never thought about it. Basically researched the swap from the s10forums and that't what everyone was using so I just decided to go that route for ease of installation.
