not sure if this is the definite place for this post but.... i came across a 2009 G8 GT 6.0 complete motor with 6k on it for $1900, sweet deal so im wondering if its worth it or even possible to swap out all my acessories, ls6 intake manifold, procharger etc... off my ls1 onto the G8 motor and put the G8 motor into my 2000 WS6 T/A? thanks for any info or opinions on this.

You cant use your intake manifold. Has to be rectangular port. Everything else should swap no problem, if its a complete motor though it should have all this stuff. L76/ls3 manifold is better than the ls6 anyhow

That's a great deal but don't forget you'll need to take out the DOD parts.

is anything wrong with your motor? if not I wouldn't do the swap. you are going to have to still speed money to make it non dod. To many other engine options to go that way.

A dod delete package With a cam amd spring package runs $1200 and provides Everything. Not bad of an investment if ya ask me...

theres nothing wrong with my motor at all but im looking to forge either my ls1 or maybe up to an ls2 cause im shooting for 8xxrwhp mark by the summer, and $1800 for a complete ls2 is cheap enough to stepup to it and $1200 for the DoD delete with a cam etc... is pretty inexpensive.....

G8-GT motor runs 58x crank and 4x cam reluctor.
LS1 runs 24x and 1x
So either change out both the reluctor wheels or get a converter box.
