Default tsp 408 build questions

what do yall guys think about this engine combo. Within the next couple days i will be ordering a short block from tsp. I want to keep my options open in the future for FI setup. But right now i plan to stay NA for now.

plans::: order a tsp forged 408
ls7s cam ((((242/250 .650"/.650" with a 111lsa maybe)))( i like choppy)
TEA ported 243s with comp 7.35 push rods, ls7 lifters, duel springs
fast 102 & 102tb, FAST 36lbs injectors
full exhaust
meizere water pump
asp underdrive pulley.

my question is: i would think this combo would make around 500rwhp but in the future if i wanna step it up with some boost, couldnt i just through on some 317s, thicker head gaskets, and a centi kit and call it a day

With that much duration you might went to think about going with a wider lsa...

I'm running a 255/263 .624/.624 115lsa and LOVE it. Even with the 115lsa it has a very choppy idle.

Also check your compression, with a cam this large you can cheat on your max compression...I'm running 12.5:1 static compression (57cc chambers, flat top pistons with valve reliefs). But the intake valve closes at 85 degrees after top dead center and gives me an 8.22:1 dynamic compression. I'm running full timing on pump gas with no knock

you are going to want to call TSP on this one. for max efficiency you would need to swap to a blower cam shaft. there is more to it then just that. just give TSP a call. also i think you are short sticking yourself with the heads. you should get yourself some ported L92 heads, they will be cheaper and flow better. also those head style (rectangular LS3 type ports) flow better for forced induction.

Blower camshaft would be ideal, but lots of guys do exactly what your considering. The 408 will easily support the power for ya!
