rtv needed with UD pulley?

Default rtv needed with UD pulley?

I have a UD pulley and it is going on my 5.3l that has a c5 accessory drive, the pulley is a c5 pulley to. The UD pulley has a keyway slot in it but the stocker doesnt. Do I need to rtv the keyway slot so it doesnt leak?

No, you need to fit the keyway so the pulley stays put & doesn't move.

The stock crank isn't keyed so you can just install the pulley. No need to do anything with the slot in the pulley.

Where the pulley goes on their is no keyway, it presses on. But the stock pulley has no groove for a keyway hence no keyway. The UD pulleys have a groove. So does that groove need to be filled?

I have the Corvette pulley system on my car as well. The pulley has been on there for a year and a half with an open key way.

The key way is a design feature of the pulley not utilized with a stock crank. Nothing will leak. The pulley can be installed normally as if it were stock.
