05 LS2 in 78 T/A, cam sensor issues, extended crank, HELP!
Hey I've been helping a friend with his LS2 swap. He bought a complete engine, trans, harness and pcm from an 05 GTO. It is in the Trans Am and runs, but has long/extended crank, and won't start every time you turn the key. Camshaft speed doesn't match crank speed on the tech2 and is erratic, it doesn't move like engine speed. I've tried a different cam sensor, same problem. I tried a ckp relearn, but couldn't be done with all the dtcs that were set for deleted evap. Got all these dtcs deleted with hptuners and tried ckp relearn, but apparently hptuners cannot do a ckp relearn on this pcm? Should I try again with the tech2 now that the deleted codes will allow it? Any other suggestions? Any help is appreciated, thanks.
