So I have milled L92s with a TEA valve springs/retainers, but a stock L92 valve. build is a 427 with roughly 11.5 CR and a large cam. Whats the "safe" limit for the L92 valve. 6500-6800 pushing it?
I would not worry about it, but with the money in that build, why not LS3 valves? My G8 spins 6500, after market spring kit, LS7 lifters, after market push rods.
I ran stock L92 valves in my 403 build with a .660 lift cam and PAC 1521 springs.. They're not a bad valve and actually lighter than some of the SS valves out there. I bounced mine off the 6800 limiter lots of times. I'm still running the PAC 1521 springs.
I've turned mine 7200 MANY times, and my new combo will be wound up to 7700ish
