Default anyone try running a pair of these derale push/pull fans? Amp draw too much?

EDIT...........I'm looking for advice on these or others as pusher fans.

hey guys, i'm looking into keeping my car cool on the street and have seen a number of options for fans, but i really like Derale products and wondered if anyone has any input on running a pair of these 12" 2150cfm fans? I think it's the highest cfm rating i've seen for a 12" so i'm really interested in it and the price isn't bad at all imo.

http://www.jegs.com/i/Derale/259/16925/10002/-1

i don't know much about amperage draw so that's pretty much my bigger concern. size wise it seems i could fit a pair of these. any input is greatly appreciated!

im running 2 of these and i know koolrayz and tallytransam(along with afew others) are running these. i did not wire them directly into stock harness, only used the positive wire from the original pigtail as the signal wire to the supplied relay. ive heard of people running it off the stock wiring but the amperage draw is higher than the stock fans.

why not ford mark viii fans? They do have a higher amp draw though, i think they draw 30amps at idle. But you can find them used and flow realy good.

i've heard of the mark 8 ones but idk how they would fit/work as a pusher fan which is my intended use.

no a/c in the car sprayed.

that's GREAT to hear Ryan and good info on just using the positive as the signal. i think i've found my fans!!

you cant get anymore restrictive airflow than having a 1989 TTA with a front mount intercooler, have you seen a 3rd gen front end.....I use nothing but the best--Spal fan twin 11" fans and my TTA stays at 160deg with a front mount intercooler...plus spal fans sound like a jet fighter plan when runnning...

I run these flex-a-lite dual 2500 cfm pullers on my car wired into the stock harness they move a ton of air. they work super bad ***. This is a steal of a price too. These fans are $320 through summit.....

i should've mentioned i need pushers and just 1 of these derale's flow almost the same as those duals. it may be overkill but the stock LS fans are said to pull 4000cfm so i'm trying to at least match that.

yes all of us are using them as pushers.. obviously the second fan is wired to the other stock fan but i have yet to have it kick on. I think tally(or someone else using them) said his second fan only comes on during hot days in traffic.

These fans are the highest flowing readily available option I was able to find. They worked great for me.

These fans are not a pusher and puller, I run the pusher setup. They have two different part numbers and shroud setups for each type. They come with their own wiring and relays, I just use the pcm signal wire to kick the fans on so they are controlled by the stock computer. My car will stay around 200 degrees on a 100 degree day with just 1 fan on. Thats with a stock radiator, no a/c and a front mount. I had one of the fuse holders melt on me because they come with POS fuses, just swap some good BUS fuses in. Here is a good thread https://ls1tech.com/forums/forced-in...sher-fans.html

16925 is their 2200 cfm pusher fans and 16926 is their 2200 cfm shrouded puller fan. Go onto derale's website and check page 7 of 62 "high output rad fans - molded shroud"
