Default ? about a ls6 intake and a t/b

i need a ls6 intake without egr if i get one with egr can i block it off on the intake?

Also wondering i want a ported t/b for my car its a 98 trans am and im under the impression that the 98 is diffent than the others is that true

almost every ls6 intake has no egr , the only ones that do are ones someone modded themselves and put it on or the slp units.. and yes if you happen to find one with egr you can just block it , i think their are two for sale currently , one for 300 and one for 500 both with egr .

im not sure on the tb

The only ls6 intakes with a egr hole are the SLP ones you buy from SLP. All LS6 intakes that been on Z06's, 01-02 f-bodies, and 04 GTO's do not have a egr hole.

different enough that a t/b from a 99-02 wont work??

also why dont more people put ls7's on these cars is there just not as many out there the ls6 must flow better im assuming.

You are correct, LS1 and LS6= cathedral port. LS7 is a very good intake from everything I've read but, they are rectangular in design.

I have a 99 TB on my 98 SS With LS6 SLP intake and it works fine, only difference was the cam that the throttle cable goes around is slightly larger. but it works fine opens to full throttle, closes completely and idles perfect.
