Default 95 Silverado RCSB to LQ4/4L60e Swap (56k Heavy)

This 95 is a project that I'm working on for another member on here. It started life as a 350TBI/4L60e and I'm swapping in an LQ4/4L60e. Trans will be updated with the Gen III/IV style 4L60. Using a Nelson Performance Harness, Transdapt Adapter Plates, and everything else needed for a Smog Legal Setup. I'll go into detail with the swap and take pics along the way. I've put a build thread up on a couple other Boards, but not on here yet. But here goes...

Made a little progress, haven't had the chance to post up yet, but here ya go... I removed the old wiring harness for now until I figure out what needs to be removed and what needs to stay. I also pulled the engine back out to change the oil pan gasket and bolt on the pickup tube and windage tray. Also had to modify the TransDapt Adapter bolts so that they would tighten all the way and not hit the block itself. After that it was time to drop the engine back in and figure out this wiring mess...

Pulled the pan off, took a quick look at the bottom end... looks pretty good

The owner wants to use the stock Battery Box and just use a cold air intake, so I'm using the OEM Battery Cables. Here is the Cable routed under the TB to the Alternator

Still have to finish up the fuel pump, drill the trans crossmember, Connect the Trans Lines, Y-Pipe, and The Solder the Stock Harness into the Nelson Harness.

Yes, you can get a 4wd 4L60e, Not easy to find at all btw... I'm looking for one for my 89 K5 and can't find it for the life of me. I doubt that you'll have to get a different adapter since you should have a 4L60 in there now.

All of the trucks used this trans right?

Is a 4L80e 4wd easier to find.

Cool Project.

Which nelson harness did you buy and at what price? I swapped an 03 6.0l/4l80 into my 95 extss grafting the 03 harness to the 95. Way too many wires as I did not remove the unnecessary ones. I'd like to clean things up and have considered starting fresh with a new harness.

The owner had the stock harness reworked by Nelson, I think he paid 400 or so. I'd suggest sending both the stock and the LQ4 harness to Nelson so that they can take out the unnecessary wires and make it plug and play.
