I have a 79 malibu ..I would like to put a 5.3 in...can I still use my current tranny its a turbo 350 ..if not what would be the one to use

I think there are options out there to run old style trannys but if your doing the swap why not get ahold of a 4L60E out of a f-body you can get them cheep and that way you will have your overdrive.
