Corvette Performance - grand sport rear vs z06 rear

im looking for a rear setup in my 06 c6 auto... i know alot of guys swap c6 z06 swap is straight and has the stronger axles and the 3.42 gears...question is..is the grand sport rear a direct swap also for a regular auto c6 and do they have the better axles and i think they come wiwth the 3.42 also..is the rear the same as the z6 z06?

The ratio is the same, the rear is not the same. Z06 has a stronger rear end than the Z-51/GS models get.

ok so the grand sport doesnt have the z06 rear end then...its still just the basic rear with the 3.42 gear right? axles arent stronger or anything?

From what I have read that is correct, only the Z06 and ZR1 got the stronger rear diffs.

I think the actual housing has more ribs the the ones on the gs
