I just dont know what will really make a difference. Im thinking about do a throttle body. Not sure if im gonna do it

A larger throttle body or at the least a P&P TB will give you a few extra horsepower.

Since you have an LS1 from before 2001, you have the LS1 intake instead of the LS6 intake. Add the LS6 intake and get it retuned, you should pick up at least 10-15HP from that alone.

Is your car A4 or M6? If you have an auto a stall would help and a shift kit.

I wouldn't worry about sub-frame connectors, not until your car starts making some serious power.

The strock throttle body isn't too shabby, I say go for a new intake and a set of headers. Since you have an 00' LS1, an LS6 intake is a nice bolton that's good for ~15whp, if not more when your setup becomes more complex. Pickup a pair of longtubes an you should pickup ~20-30whp. As for those suspension recommendations, go for it. I say go with lower control arms and subframe connectors for now. The suspension mods might not stand out too much right now, but will definitely be be well worth the money in the future when you're making more power and having trouble launching. Are you M6 or A4?

Basic maintenance might help you recover some lost HP depending on the mileage of the car. Run some engine cleaner through it, check all the spark plugs, make sure you have a clean fuel filter, make sure your MAF is clean, make sure your air filter is clean.

Good tips, but read the OP's post. He said no heavy mods, no headers.

Ahh, didn't see that he said no headers. Although since he's already got headerback aftermarket exhaust why not, Maybe he'll change his mind...

Ahh, if you don't consider a stall a big mod, look into a stall. Helps a ton off the line. Maybe a baby stall like 2800 for now since your mods aren't too serious yet?

I say if you are going to go with a new throttle body, go all out and go with a 90mm or larger. 90mm is a very decent sized TB. And as for gears, I thought about that too for my Z... but it'd be much smarter to get a better rear end first, then gear it (eww 10 bolt)... although with an auto and a baby stall like 2800 you probably won't have to worry about the rear like me, I'm M6 on some Nitto's. Have you thought about a new rear end at all?

a new throttle body is useless without a bigger intake (ls6)...the only way you are going to get more power is through all the mods you dont wanna do...so if all you care about is quarter mile time than yo dont need more power, you just need a stall (real good idea!), some subframe connectors, lower control arms with relocation brackets, aftermarket torque arm, some sticky tires like mickey thompson et streets, and some gears (like 3.73 or 4.11)...those are the only other ways you will pick up time other than learning to be a better driver as far as drag racing goes (timing the lights perfect, doing good burnout with correct tire psi, staging correct, things like that)...anyway good luck man...12.9 is pretty good considering you have almost no mods...keep it up and dust a few stangs lol!

That's too bad :/ I'm dreading when mine will finally give up on me. Spending $1200 isn't something anyone is anxious about hah. What kind of tire you have on it right now? If you run street tires and plan on going with a small stall I wouldn't worry and just pick up 3.73s. If you're gonna run DRs or slicks then maybe a new rear would be smarter before gears.

I forgot to add, a cutout is a nice mod for $200 that'll open up your exhaust a bit and give you 5-10hwp. And you open it up only when you need it so those ******** cops won't get you for having a loud exhaust.
