Default Garrett gt4202 on lq4 be a good option?

Looking to buy a turbo for my lq4 setup stock long block with ls9 head gaskets and head studs, in a 3400lb street car that goes to the track maybe twice a month looking to make 650-700rwhp.

My question is that I found a garrett gt4202 turbo for sale locally with a t4 flange and 1.28 a/r. Would this turbo reach my goals and be an all around decent turbo for what i'm looking to do?

Did a search on the gt4202 and haven't come up with much

I think the turbo can handle that power but i doubt the factory lq4 short block can survive to that power.

Really only looking to make the 650-700 occasionally and keep it on a lower boost for the most part untill I can swing the $ for forged pistons and rods

unless its a damn good deal I would get a bw s475 then you have the ability to upgrade to 80mm compressor when you build the motor.

The 4202 would be great for that power level

If you are looking to search for info on the turbo, look up GT42 instead of 4202. Or you can look up GT42R, but the R indicates ball bearings. If I remember right, there are only two versions of the 42, (The 4294 and the 4202). The 4202 is the larger of the two and is roughly the same as the BWS375
