doesn't look like i will be making trek to florida this year. will be at atlanta though.

Getting away from stock in almost every way. Suspension. Tick stage 2 t56 rebuild. Ls7 clutch. H.c.I.e. but stock 10 bolt. Street tires. Hope it lasts

Car is parked in the garage for the winter. Still have not even taken the dial from the last race of the year....too cold

i still trying,been putting 4-5 hours a day in on the car.......lsx 440 800hp with a 400 shot should be good enuff to follow mr meeks down the track.

I won't make Bradenton, but will be at ATL. Car is.....losing weight... ;) We will be in Real Street this year.

cars at the chassis shop right now getting the cage updated for a 8.50 cert and intake at n2o outlet. got alot of work to do when i get it back suspension wise and trying to shed weight. not sure if ill get it light enough to try to run real street or if ill stick to rumble again this year

Wanting to get the shortblock built before then but the engine is still in the car, still trying to get this bog after shifting problem fixed. Might show up with a 5.3 in the car or a trickflow headed 347 with a solid roller. Who knows lol.

How many cars showed up last year in our class?

Only 2 in drag radial in Bradenton (a few said the timing was bad b/c cars weren't done yet). I think with a full year of the series under the NMCA's belt more people will make the commitment for 2012.

BTW, 4 in the class at Atlanta, 8 at Bowling Green9 in Indy.

Your new Camaro build looks good Michael. I can't wait to see it in person. I am working on a deal to bring my car to Bradenton but only time will tell if it happens.

I'll agree Bradenton's pits are not the best compared to some other places, but since I race Gainesville most of the year (which has mostly paved pits), the change is not bad since the sun radiating off the asphalt can be a bitch during the warmer months!

well the good thing is in fl we don't have dust & dirt. we have sand,
last year paul and ted went to home depot got the cheap carpet.
it's about 60 dollars. pit mat is 250 and use it for 3-4 years.

I bought carpet at Home depot days before I left for Bradenton last year. The cost was very cheap but it is an indoor/outdoor carpet.
The problem with the indoor/outdoor carpet and tarps - when you turn your wheel or the spool will turn it, twist it or pull it apart. So far the carpet has been holding up very well. Oh, when you unroll the carpet after it has been rolled up for a few months, you need to have something to hold it down for awhile so it will lay flat. When the edges are up, people are tripping over it and then it is almost permanently folded over.
OK, enough about that. LOL

Bradenton = sand.
When I arrived home (17 hours of driving) I hand sand inside my door jams, inside the engine compartment and other places too. LOL

Don, you have a few set backs. Get the tow vehicle repaired, put the engine together and then install it. Go to the track and tune it. All that can be done in a few days. LOL I know there is no way you will not be there. ;-) Luckily you only live a few hours away.

I got a 12x48 mat last year for the Top Sportsman car from the guy on YB. Name is Matt Tucker. He has a good deal on them, any size you want, and ships quickly. Quality is great for the cost. Give me a call Andy... we have to get caught up!

Last year I pulled up onto my trailer ramp after every pass. The sand does seem to get in everything. I think I still have sand in my carpet. At least theres good seafood "close" by!

Block ships on Wednesday, then just need to get the short block done..

If the short block gets finished in time I'll be there in the Vette/DR class. If not, I'll be there in the Camaro/5th gen/True Street class.

Either way I'll be ready for Atlanta!

We've taken 350+ lbs out of the car this year, added another turbo, 9", and a couple of other upgrades.

2012 will be interesting if all the cars that are being built get done.

im starting to panic lol. got no interior, no suspension front or rear, no brakes, motor out and top end off, intakes still at n2o outlet, gotta rewire nitrous and wanted to strip my harness of what isnt needed but thats not gonna happen now. im still planning to have the car there though, if it dont happen then i guess ill bring the tbss down

lol thats the good thing right now is that i have most of the things i need to get it together not playing the waiting game on alot of parts. and the fact that i dont think i can go anyfarther backwards right now so forward progress should be made soon

you guys got your work cut out for ya, i just pulled the intake to check sealing on it. I need to get me some more tires and see if i got this problem fixed yet.

Saw the preston's testing today at beech bend, new paint job that looked good..ran some pretty good undisclosed numbers with a massive headwind today, I saw 18mph headwind on some of my passes.
