Just kinda curious on the outcome. My car has a almost stock ls1 from a 99 z28. Stock manifolds to a full exhaust which has a cutout and a custom cai. Also has a 75 shot set up just in case. His car is a completely stock c5 vert. Not sure on the year. Predictions with and without juice?

Im more of a camaro guy myself but wouldn't mind a trans am. Actually atm im looking at a thread on tgo where one guy is retrofitting some projecters in his bird and instead of having the head lights pop up normally, he makes them pop up from the side closest to the fender. Looks VERY vicious.

tons of variables, mostly revolving around your setup and tune. You running some sticky tires? any rear suspension mods? the stock setup is weak as hell and flexes all over the place. If you can ensure he doesn't beat you off the launch, then it should be a pretty close race.

Not gonna lie im not the best driver, halfway decent though. Better than he is though im sure. And nope no suspension mods unless you consiter a fourth gen rear and suspension mods. No stickey tires either.. yet. Car hooks up halfway decent though on street tires

Coming from another 3rdgen ls1/t56 owner..its a damn good race.Race from a dig and as long as he doesnt have tract control on and you can out launch him..its a drivers bet.If you can.. borrow a set of good tire just for the run, spend sometime leanring the best shift points.I find my ls1 with the ls7 clutch tends to bog if I under rev during launch and really kills me.My rear gear also puts me back being a 3.23.get some 3.73s in there and eat.

My clutch is decent with under revs. (Centerforce dual friction). How do you like your ls7 clutch though? After mine I may think of getting one. Also any pictures of your third gen? ;)
