Building a 408 with a single turbo and wanting to no if i should spend the extra cash on cnc ls3 heads or leave them alone ? will there be a big hp difference ? Thanks mike

Honestly I would just leave then alone and just turn up the boost 1psi to make up any difference. In my opinion its not really worth the cost unless your shooting for some outrageous number.

If you have the money have them ported. Try to find someone at the local track that does them for the local racers. That's usually your best bet for finding a good head porter that knows what they are doing for 1/2 the price of a sponsor. Not saying the sponsors are bad or overpriced they just have a higher overhead and shipping to deal with no to mention the people they have employed.

I'd leave them stock except for top notch valves and valve job.

Ls3 heads work very well with a good port job and a little bowl work. No need to open them up a lot.
