Exclamation Spark plug wire came loose.

I'm really wondering about the MSD wires. When I put them on about three weeks ago I noticed that they didn't really fit to tight. Anyway, today I had the blinking SES light and rough idle. Checked under the hood and sure enough, #4 was completely off of the coil pack. Just kind of wondering if this does happen or if there is something I can do. Also briefly, a person I know told me that putting 3" piping out back can actually hurt you if you don't need it...something about burning a valve. Yes or no?

Thanks in advance,
Justin

I just bought some Taylors. I have the msd and mine seem to keep coming off the plugs. I have tried to crimp them down but it still happens. I also look at the plugs pretty often so that might have made them week some.

Never had a problem with my msd's. Two of the wires are a few milameters shorter than the other six. Make sure that you dont have one of the shorter wires on the wrong coils.

You wonder why your plug wires are coming loose, maybe because you are always checking your plugs??? Plugs were meant to be put in and left alone if you keep pulling your wires on and off what do you expect. Hey man, its not oil it doesnt need to constantly be checked. Leave it alone

It could be that you've pulled them off and on too many times.. I know that mine snap twice as it connects to the tip of the spark plug. Absolutely no issues with mine coming off of the plugs after install.

Could just be worn out.
