Right now I have a set of dynatech supermaxx 1-3/4 headers with there connection pipes and I want a set Kooks 1-7/8 , My question is could you complete the swap without buying a new set of connection pipes ?:confused::confused:

Most likely no, as each header has its own shape.
But, instead of buying midpipes to fit, just take it to an exhaust shop and have them set it up. It will probably be cheaper than buying them

The real question is why would you swap out a perfectly good set of Dynatech 1 3/4" header for a Kooks 1 7/8" header?
Your not believing the bullshit that the bigger header will give you more power are you?
If your doing it because you want the car to sound better than I would get the Kooks. You will love the sound but your not gaining anything.
I'm pretty sure the Kooks will bolt up to what you have. The top 4 header companies like to keep their parts interchangeable. Then they start rumors about one getting more HP than the other so you keep buying something.

Have you been to the Turbo Connection in Edwardsville?

Well i was thinking since i uped the cubic inches that i would want more air flow from the entire exhaust system that would create more horsepower i thought.

How much CI did you add? Did you add any forced air?
I still think you would be OK with the Dynatech, you have to add a lot to justify a larger diameter header.
Be honest you want the Kooks header. I don't blame you, your beast will sound like a beast with them and there is nothing wrong with that.

402ci with no forced induction,If its just about the sound then i wouldnt spend the $1,000 bucks for them and stick with what i have.

I spent $1350 on a set of ARH headers with cats because I loved the sound. They are a great header that gives me plenty of room to go forced induction, but is was the sound that got me. There is a little bit of Pilgrim in all of us.
If I had the 1 3/4" Dynatech I would have kept them. You wont see any gains.
Here is something else to think about. Pick up your Dynatech header in your hands and then pick up the Kooks header. I think you will notice something.
I'm not busting your balls, I don't want to see you waste your money

I put the Kooks 1 7/8" on mine but it was stock. I wouldnt buy bigger than the 1 3/4" unless you just want the sound, which is awesome with the borla cat back. IMO spend the money on something that would give you more gain.

Now your thinking, and the good news is the Dynatech header can handle the Noz better than the Kooks. The Dynatech are thicker and made out of 201 Stainless Steel. The thicker 201 will handle the heat better than the thinner 304 Stainless the Kooks are made from. 304 has better corrosion resistance.

The header size/power depends on what engine mods you have. An engine is a big air pump, the more you put in the more has to come out, this makes power. Headers definitly make power. If you don't think so you don't know much about cars. I've built cars that were strictly bolt on NA that had huge differences between header diameter. In this application, size typically does matter.

+1, you would be well served with the 1 7/8 headers on a 402. Also, you would need mid pipes because kooks uses a ball flange versus a slip on/clamp setup.

So how much am i losing you think by not having the KOOKS 1-7/8 ?

1 7/8 for sound? Thats the most inaccurate statement i have ever heard. A set of American Racing headers 1 7/8 will pick up power over his 1 3/4 dynatechs.
