2.25" vs 3"

When I entered my vehicle, it pulled up a 2.25" cat. I thought the factory was 2.5".

recently I replaced left cat on my 2001 ta The stock cat has a 2.5 inlet & a 2.25 outlet I went with eastern direct-fit 50355 for 163.79

I would be worried over fitment I don't think a 16x6.5 cat would fit under my ta The cat that I placed needed no cutting or welding All I needed was two bolts to replace the 3 in studs on a flang

It says it's for a 2000-2002. My Trans Am is a '98.
