Got a good one for ya...
Went to the track on Saturday. Ran a new best of 11.20@121 and then on my third run she started knockin. Pulled the valve covers and didnt see nothin weird. Took her home.
Tonite I pulled the plugs and #7 was tore up. So I proceeded to pull the head. While I was doin it my buddy stopped by to bum my LS6 intake. I picked up the intake and it rattled. Turned it upside down and a piece of metal fell out.
Finally got the head pulled. The combustion chamber and piston looked like a bug with a real sharp hammer went nuts
Long story short. Somehow a 9/32 allen wrench went thru my intake in my cylinder thru the intake valve. Broke into 4 pieces and then came back up into my intake. I have never used a allen wrench that small on my car. How it got there I dont know.
Crappy luck I guess.
Gonna call Brian at TEA tomorrow and see if they can fix it. Gonna need a new valve and some metal added then CNCd again. They should be able to hook it up. I hope.

Stu, I am sorry for your incident, but that is the funniest thing I can recall reading on this board. OMG. And my buddy (Drew778) teases me about always dropping stuff into his cylinders everytime we take his heads off! wow, a craftsman allen wrench, who would've thunk it!
Sorry man, but I do agree. Cant sweat the damage done, but Sears will replace the allen wrench.

Were you running an air filter in the car? Maybe the allen key was stuck in the radiatior area or something. Other theory is someone fucked around with your car.
Damn good run by the way.

Holy cow, I thought I was the only one to have an allen wrench screw up my day, I had a tiny allen wrench go through my slick about 1/2 down the track (which made for a fun ride ) it flatted my slick and it was like my 2nd pass!
Obiously not as bad as your situation but I still found it weird that allen wrenches are causing track problems.
