Default After ported heads and other changes will I be able to drive to my tuner?

Like the title states I will soon be swapping over to some ported heads and some bosch III 41lb injectors. My question is will my car be drivable to my tuner if I have a mailorder tune from Texas Speed that was for the cam. I currently live in Kyle,TX which is about 2 1/2 hrs from Victoria, TX which pat g will be tuning my ride. So what do ya'll think will it be drivable or more than a hassle.

Yep you ll be able to. I swapped heads, cam, intake, gears, injectors, ported tb, wires, plugs, did free mods, and had tranny built. Been driving the car every other day to work 1 hour round trip for three months with no dyno tune. Only a tunebyfrost mail order tune with no problems.

I would swap injectors whenever I got to the shop, heads will be fine.

It takes like 10 minutes to swap injectors.

+1

This is what I did when I swapped to my current AFR 205s, 224/228 setup, and when I rebuilt my wifes engine from cam only to 799s, EPS cam. It was about an hour drive to my tuner.

Just drive it gently then swap injectors when you get there.

If you do have problems Texas speed will most likely send you a tune to compensate for it. I would ask them before you do it

Yea you are fine, you would be good with a stock tune if you just take it easy on the drive to pat g...the tune from Texas speed is a waste of $ if you are only using it to get to pat g. Now if the tune from tsp is free, no big deal.

You would be fine taking it easy and swapping injectors at the shop.

Stock tune with 41# injectors. You must be joking.

I think this is the best advice. Leave the old injectors on until you get there.

So you're telling him to keep his injectors out and at the same time, mocking the other guy that said to leave the injectors out?

Do that and you will be golden.

Just do not drive the car untuned on larger injectors. Especially not 2.5 hours.

You should have no problem driving with the heads installed. If you swap injectors then you really need to get the tune done before driving!!!
