Default wheel options/opinions

I am officially sick to death of polishing the classics. Especially since I drive it on a regular basis and it sits ouside in the elements uncovered. Im either going to paint the centers gloss black with the polished lip, which I feel I can handle, or paint the whole wheel gloss black. Im also considering painting the sail panel and mirrors black as well if I decide on the all black wheel (think ceta trans am) and I already did the ceta bumper mod. I think the top half of the car blacked out would look cool w/ the black wheels. But since the color on the firebird is so rare, that has me not wanting to really mess with the painting of the sail panel/mirrors. Not that the color really adds any extra value to car at all imo. The windows will be getting tinted regardless. So here are some my options and some pics. And if someone could do some better photoshoping than me I'de appreciate it, mine look horrible I think. Let me know what you guys think.

1 - black centers / polished lips,
2 - black centers / black lips - body color sail panel/mirrors
3 - black centers / black lips - black sail panel/mirrors

I think gloss black centers with a polished lip. Not a fan of black mirrors and sail panel.

BTW get a rear in your car so we can cruise sometime when I go to CC

Doesn't clearing a polished wheel cause clouding? I could be mistaken...

Also, is the paint all original? If so, I wouldn't touch the outside of the car. Just my opinion. I think with tinted windows, all your above ideas would look good.

Get the centers black w/ the polished lip. Leave the rest of the car alone.

If you must change it up, the paint the centers leave the lips polished.

The paint I would probably just leave it alone and if you want to try it painted just have those parts wrapped and try that for a while to see how you like it. Either way will look good IMO.

Stock polished wheels are clear coated. I've had them on a TBSS and the G8 GXP. No clouding.

I think it looks much better in the photoshop with black lug nuts and the wheel assembly hardware black too. And I think a matte black or gunmetal gray would go real well with the blue over the gloss. In the pic below the centers look more matte or dark gray than the other pics and IMO they look better.

This pic = win!

haha, I actually trust the CCW jackstand method more than the real ones,
especially if the ground is not perfect...I have seen my fair share of shakey
jackstands that tip over.

another vote for black centers and polished lip with and not to paint the sail panel and mirrors black. the tint will help out a lot. polishing the barrel of the wheel is easy esp. if you have a electric drill that you can attatch like a mothers ball on it, so you should be fine.
