I thought I'd share a new Cars and Coffee for the Portland/Vancouver metro area that we are calling Cascade Cars and Coffee Portland.

Over 30 cars came out today with a wide mix of import and domestic. Lots of boosted cars as well. A bunch of people are interested in setting up post-CC&C cruises and the chief of mall security said that management would be open to setting up promotions with CC&C for all-day events with reserved parking for us so I'll inquire and see what we can do. Hope to see everyone next Saturday!

2006 Mazdaspeed6 AWD with GT3071R turbo.

I was pretty interested in a G8 GXP but when I was looking at cars a few years ago they were still priced pretty high.

I did the build last summer but I haven't made it on the dyno so I don't want to be a jerk and give you speculative numbers even though I have data logs which could help substantiate it. However, my goal is a safe, reliable, daily driven 350awhp/350awtq which should be attainable after I finish up some hardware stuff this spring and hit the dyno to put the final touches on the tune.

It's nothing too exciting as far as the modified car scene is concerned but it makes for a fun daily driver that most people think is just some stupid sedan until I punch it and the EWG opens.

I will be attending every event except maybe a couple including when the Dodgers play the Mariners at Safeco Field in June.

Yeah there should be a decent crowd still around then since the weather will be nice. In the summer people will probably show up early and stay late due to the weather as well.

This Saturday we will do the normal Cascade Cars and Coffee Portland and then afterwards caravan over the river to the Rally Day Event at Allan Webb Mitsubishi and Dick Hannah Subaru where one of our regular attendees the English Racing / AMR / Pregrid Motorsports Evolution 8.75 Rally Car will be on display along with a rally driving simulator. Should be another good Saturday at cars and coffee!

Mid 60's and partly sunny this weekend. Pharaohs Street Rodders will be doing a cruise to Lew's Dari Freeze from Cascade Cars and Coffee Portland as well so come on out and join the fun!

So far the plan is to leave later in the day (2-3ish) and cruise out to H.R. and grab some dinner. Possibly at Full Sail or wherever. As it goes, myself, Phil, Charlie, Tim, Becker, Tyler and I believe Chris are going. You should join us!

The Sandy Chevy car show is on the 5th. Probably one of the best car shows of the year to attend. Free too.

This cruise in was a lot of fun and totally low key. I really hope to be able to make it out again.

I'm gonna try for the 5th as well. Not sure which car I'll be driving, but I went last weekend for a short time before heading to the dyno......there were some pretty cool cars out. Have to say, the old blue Datsun Z that I saw was the one that really stuck out to me. Father/Son project that was really done well....

This Saturday is another episode of Cascade Cars and Coffee Portland. C&C regulars Scott Kovalik and Jason Roy of EVO RallySport will be racing their rally prepped EVO 8 at the Oregon Trail Rally from Friday through Sunday. Friday evening's stages are at Portland International Raceway and Saturday and Sunday's stages are at the wild back country roads of Hood River County, The Dalles, and Dufur. Go check out the third race of the Rally America National Championship and root for EVO Rallysport!

Will Orders is currently placed 7th overall in the Rally America standings and 3rd in 2WD, and placed 1st in 2WD in both races he finished this season at Oregon Trail Rally and New England Forest Rally. I had to remind a few people that their cars won't disintegrate if they come out of the garage in the winter. In the summer, 75+ cars was the norm.

Its even worse coming from the West side because you have to be up so much earlier!
Oh and there is another Cars and Coffee cruise-in every Saturday in Tigard (it is behind Tap Plastics/West Marine). I'm not sure that they are related in any way though. I've been to that one when I don't feel like driving so far ;)

There's a lot of little cruise ins around Salem Ty. I saw a 455 4spd 76 TransAm at Burgerville today at a cruise in. Lol. Fuck I need my exhaust in the berd and a cam!! Lol. I love the saying, you can dream about shit happening , or go out and make it happen! I did pull a 70 GTO yesterday. That was fun. Nice car. His name is Ty as well. Haha

Going through pictures from two weeks ago, I counted over 85 cars, at least 23 of which were American, mostly muscle, over 20 European, mostly German, and then Japanese with a bunch of MkIV Supras, a NSX, modified GTR's/EVO's/FD RX-7's. Hell, some of the foreign cars that show up regularly have LS1's or other domestic V8 engines. It keeps growing and gets more and more diverse.

I'd love to but not really worth the cruise from hillsboro in rainy conditions. Would be nice to get a real good second look at your RX next time we're both there.

Would've Been nice to run out towards Sandy, but I don't know those roads and the COP nesting spots. I didn't have a good feeling about it, being virgin to those. Thanks for the heads up that day,,,,nah. The thug juice lives to cruise another day. ;)

I went it sucked, I'm going to the red door meet under Morrison bridge tonight at 630 it's a pretty large turn out, if anyone wants to join.

I was at the red door meet a couple weeks ago and it was really cool, I was a little concerned that I'd make some people mad showing up in my El Camino but everyone was pretty nice. Is your RX red by chance, because there was a really cool swapped RX there that weekend that was red with some Corvette LS1 coil covers on it.
