Has anyone ever done this to their truck manifolds?

I think you should have kept this to yourself, patented the idea and produced them.
Now some other big wig jurkoff is going to make bunch of loot on your idea..IMO
but anyways.....F'in awesome idea & execution.

Big thanks to the guys I work with!! I designed up the flange and they wrote a program and ran the mill! It took about 4 hours to do the first set and I'm sure we could get it down to about 1-2 hours with a fixture.
Unfortunately my company has a policy that I can't make money on their equipment... Go Figure.
If I owned the mill, I would be making a bunch of these. Maybe I should apply for a patent (LOL)
BTW they fit great in the car!

hmm ive got the equipment... awesome idea, ill keep my hands out of it tho. kinda hard to patent cutting a v-band flange into a manifold tho.. all someone would have to do is change the design one tiny way and then your losin more money with the lawyers and time fighting it than your makin manufacturing this. trust me ive been there.... but awesome idea none the less!

what a ******' tease! you "can't sell em"! hahaha just kiddin but that is badass for sure and i second the thought of taking the program somewhere and having it done if you can't do it there. the money you could make selling just a d/s that retains the factory alt location alone would be worth it i would think!
GL with it all and if it happens any time soon, i have a pair of mani's that i'd need done up asap!

that is badass!! The one and only reason i wouldnt buy a set is because i would still have to move the alt. to use um vs. mine when i welded on my v-bands i cut a lot off the manifold and changed the exit angle to clear my alt. Now if u can mill it back far enough and machine the lip to clear the alt. then you sir are god!! Im not bashing cause this is really really nice!
