TVS2300, boosting 10lbs
water meth
all supporting mods including cam
safe tune for tranny
6xx rwhp 6xx rwtq
Stock rear except pimped out 3.45 differential since my OEM one crapped out less than 200 miles with cam.

What will go first?
Axles?
Tranny?

What should I upgrade first? Am already setting money aside for a new engine since I know I will blow this one sky high. Using torco in fuel tank and water meth blend that should put me at about 106 on a 30/70 mix, and 116 on a 50/50 mix I have.

I make 7xxrwhp and have for 30,000 miles now on my 2011 I've blown apart 3 release bearings, broke 2 axles, one carrier bearing, 2 sets of drive shaft to yoke bolts and one clutch......

Tranny should be good to 1000, rear end the same but not the axles, it's all in how you treat it, if your launching it yea you'll break a lot more shit. Upgrade release bearing and clutch then axles

My two sense DO NOT run mixed water meth, either tune it for 100% methanol or run 100% methanol as an aide to lowering IAT. Mixing is inconsistent and most pumps fail. Look up alkycontrols.com give Julio a shout super nice guy and badass kits

Hope this helps

Martin178, is your motor stock? If so, any issues with it and boost so far?

I'd also like to know more about your setup, Martin718. 2.9 I'm assuming...and how much boost to make those numbers?!

I have axles, but the stock diff is plenty strong for an automatic car. Mine has gone 1.50x in the 60' at least 30 times.

To be honest, I doubt the axles would break, either. I just got mine on a deal. Its the 6 speed cars that break things. The middle driveshaft bearing and yokes are the weakest parts of the driveline in my opinion.

I would say just dont put slicks on the car & dont hook it hard out of the gate & you should be ok for a while. Once the car starts hooking hard things start to break.
If you have an automatic... they say the late model auto's are kinda weak. Most guys end up putting built 4l80e transmissions in the cars when the want a strong & reliable transmission for racing. Let the car spin a little & you should be fine for a while.

slap slicks on that car and your differential might be the one thing braking for sure
