Pontiac GTO 2004-2006 - a4 with 3.91s top speed?

Idea of what my top speed would be with stock size tires and 3.91s in my a4 would be?

You'll be limited by wind resistance before you hit the theoretical top speed. I see you're also looking at drive shafts and they have theoretical top critical rotation speeds too.

Yeah I was just looking.for a number where id run. Out of gear Prolly.gonna do some high way runs just seeing what gears im gonna go with Prolly.gonna be 3.73s

hi try this link!!!!26 inch tyre!!!! rpm!! diff ratio 3.9 or 3.7 !!!! trans gear which is 1to1 in 3rd and as far as i know 0.70 to 1 in 4th in a 4l60e!!! as said wind resistance etc etc come into play way before you will hit top speed!!!! but will give you an idea of freeway rpm etc !!!!cheers

I would think that a stock rear gear would net you better high speeds

with my last GTO I really wanted to run the texas mile just to see if it would get close to 200 mph with nitrous it was 578 rwhp n/a 409 rwhp stock rear gears a4

A4 + 3.91's FTW!!!! 184mph seems plenty fast to me :)

Why would you get 373s?

I was just doing some thinking...any idea who sells built rears for these?
I want a gear like that bc...heres the scoop 418 stroker kit in the mail....brand new nitrous kit in the garage waiting...shooting for 700 to the tire...on the bottle

its got a built stage 3 4 l60e and a yank ss 3600 trans

You will want to hit your goal in 3rd not OD or run a 28inch tire.

I dc about quarter mile its Prolly gonna be a high way car

Shifting into OD @ WOT can't be done very many times, even in a built auto.
