Default What Head Gaskets are You Using?

Posting this in the Nitrous thread since I spray a 150 shot. Blew a gasket recently so the heads are currently at the machine shop getting checked out. I've got a stock bottom end with Dart Pro 205/62 cc's if that helps.

.

I switched to Cometics last year.
Zero issues, and I make way more power and I just pulled the heads off for the winter and it looked perfect.
Not even a hint of burning through.

I use factory MLS gaskets with arp head bolts. IMO the factory gaskets are pretty good, its the bolts that are the weak link, were you running OEM head bots? Switching to ARP studs will be a good idea no matter what gasket you go with. Same thing with rod bolts, most failures are the weaker stock rod bolts I have Katech rod bolts and spin my motor to 7200 with stock rods.

Default Gasket

Gm MLS gaskets with 200 hoot 13.1 compression spinning motor to 7200 rpm 3 years no issues. Ran same gasket on pro charger setup with 10lbs boost no issues.

The Factory GM MLS gasket is the best , I seen many cometic blows but didn't saw any those issues with GM MLS heads gaskets , I tried them both with ARP studs and no issues

I'm at ~1200 HP, and the new motor is ~1500-1600 HP and I'm sticking with Cometics.
The only issue I have heard so far is they seal TOO GOOD, and some guys prefer a safety net??
I was highly suspect, but when I saw some of the salt flats guys using them on 400 MPH cars I made the jump.
