Default GMMG exhaust to LOUD!

I just installed Pacesetter LTs and their y-pipe with GMMG exhaust with no cats, and I think its to loud and it kind of sounds like farm truck exhaust. I'm going to the exhaust shop tomorrow to have my stock rectangle tips welded back on, would it help if I welded a 12 inch dynomax race bullet muffler right after the y-pipe ends? What do you guys think I should do?

You mean "GMMG exhaust too LOUD! "

And IMO, its not loud enough.

But the bullet muffler sounds like a better option than cats. Both in terms of sound/power and because I hate the EPA.

Ive heard the GMMG in person and didnt think it sounded loud at all. Even my true duals with Sweet-Thunder Chambered Mufflers isnt that loud. I of course am running cats. My friend has a similar True dual system but isnt running cats and his is louder than mine. IMO mine sounds better

I would put on a set of high flow cats. The cats that TTS uses are very free flowing. I have only seen 3 to 5 rwhp by removing them. Cats will also give you a much more mild sound which you seem to desire.

Welding in the bullet right after the y pipe will help cure the rasp. That will make the system a bit quieter. As far as the cats I say hell no. Why would you put the cats back in? Do you want to lose power

It shouldn't be any louder than the setup you have now. I wouldn't worry

Well, I just put the cats back on my car today because it sounded too much like the loud mouth at WOT. Sounded good at idle though. With the cats on it sounds much better to me and no more popping like a farm truck. FWIW, the GMMG was designed to be used with cats. That is why so many people who add headers seem to not like the sound of it anymore.
