Default Compression vs bigger cam

I have a lq4 would I be better off having 11 to 1 and a 228r or less compression and a bigger cam. Have not bought heads yet have 228r

when you go bigger on the cam usually you want to bump the compression to offset the drop in dynamic compression due to the valve staying open longer. but the 228r is a good cam. i would run that will 11:1 compression for a street car.

That's what I am thinking. Since I already have 228r. Just wondering if I would have better results with say 10 to 1 and a ms3. All other being the same

For a street/strip car, I would run higher compression and the 228R. We have had great success with that cam in similar applications. Not only does it have a nice broad power band, but its easy to tune, and will have great drivability!
