I had a TR 230/236 in my old SS. It responded very well to nitrous and ran strong on the motor as well. Numbers are in my signature.

With that small of a shot there is no "magic" cam that is going to make it produce more power than another cam. If there is it would be very minimal gain on the bottle comapring 2 different cams. Now if you were on a 250 shot then thats a different story.

I would say a 150 shot is about the most you can safely run. There have been plenty of people to run more but I would be prepared to rebuild the motor if you do. A proper tune goes a long way as well.

An ms4 take a max effort setup to be worth using.

If you are near full weight, think a 3600 stall is fine, worried about mpg, or the like dont use that cam. It also take a very good tune to get it done correctly.

It has been used very widely in a big nitrous hit application and so has the TSP v3 cam. Carter01 runs the TSP cam and is at the 9.80 mark in a full weight stock motor cam only setup

If anyone runs stock 241 heads with MS4 and want to spray above 250 , I would say it won't response nitrous with those stock heads , I done that before with TNT F2 and put 250 jets the gains was maximum 220hp , We did this same setup with Trick flow heads 59cc and MS4 112 lobe separation and put down 700rwhp on 250shot , We can do 300shot with any issues but first should runs 1/7-8 headers to spray that much to avoid any issues

That logic doesn't work if you follow Carter01 on here. He has bone stock 241's and has gone from 200-250-300 and gained on all those shots.

there is so much more that goes into building a car to take a big hit, rearend, suspension, tires, fuel etc ,tune. i would start off small if your the new kid on the block, once you start learning about things then move up,ms3.4 are great cams but max effort cams are not a budget way of going fast, you need every lil bit you can get with them,

i am not that new to nitrous. i am just new to a cammed car with nitrous. ive sprayed a 225 shot at a bolt on car with a forged bottom end last year and i got a really good deal on a ms4 so i put it in. i just wanted to know if the ms4 takes well to big shots. its forged with a 9 inch rear so i should be good.
