Dyno Guesses & Bench Racing Forum - 5.3 in my Rat Rod

Well about to fire up the old 53 rat i built with the 5.3 with a Tsunami cam with 640 lift ,2' open pipe headers,650 holly carb,victor jr ,373 gears, 700r4 ,might weigh 1500lbs with me in it ,i think i should have around 400 hp ,well thats what the GM site says with a thumper cam , so what do yall think should it burn the tires off ,lol

Holy shit that's light. And im not sure on the cam but if your around 400hp now and you figure 100 lbs for 10hp(meaning they even out) then you double your weight you "should" be equal to cars around 550hp and weight around 3k pounds. (My logic could be miles off but I think its right).

LOl wow,well i have 3 set's of old tires on rims and i will blow them to take a bunch of pics, and gonna post a few ,man i cain't wait to hear it fire up, i have a few 6.0 is nova's but with exuast so straight pipe'a will be loud!!!!!!!!!
