LS4 Performance - income tax $$

i was looking to use 600$ of my income money for my car. i was looking into getting my mufflers off and running stainless straight pipe...any thought or anyone know how it sounds?? also any question, are there any good cams for the 5.3 ls4?? if you guys dont think i should do any of this what would you guys personally do for the 600$ on my car?? thanks guys

you would need about 3-4 times that to do a cam swap. I would do a muffler delete, tune, and trans cooler.

It will be loud in a good way. But now the wife is bitching she has to let off the gas to talk to people on the phone some times. Lol

Plenty of good cams for these motors, it's just not worth the money and pain if you're not gonna do intake/headers and maybe some head work, too.

I did the muffler-delete mod on my Impala. Sounded good on the outside but droned like a MOFO on the inside between 2000 and 3000 RPMs. It's a good mod if you're trying to save a buck, but it can get old quickly.

I'm much happier with my catless dp and 3" into twin Spintechs.

True . I have the trans cooler already. U think 600 will be enough? I was thinking about also getting a overkill tune on my pcm ..

I have a stainless cat back with magnaflow mufflers. Its 3 inch pipe also. It does sound pretty amazing, but I will admit at times its kinda loud, like if im not by myself and I might have someone else in the car. But when im alone I love the sound.
