Hey guys im about to do a transmisson oil change and was wondering if it would be a good thing to do or not since the transmisson has 90K miles. Just wondering since I hear causes more problems.

Change it. I changed mine at 130k, i know it had definetly been in since 88k when I first bought it. I also used a Lucas HD transmission additive and did the rear and rear gasket with Lucas HD rear gear oil. Car is shifting and burning rubber like a mofo.

it causes problems when they do a power flush and back flush the transmission filter and are too lazy to drop the pan and replace the filter.
Doing a simple pan drop and replacing ~5 qts fluid will hurt nothing, there is already clutch dust and dirt in the system and you are not causing anything else that isn't already happening. Ideally, you want to pull the cooler lines and then let the transmission pump fresh fluid from the pan to the tq converter then through the cooler then into a drain bucket (not back into the trans pan). This will get out the other 5 or so qts of fluid that's in the tq converter and cooler.
