I am at a critical point in life, I have a 01z with the following parts;

Futral f-13 cam
230/232, .642/.612, 112 lsa
Slp blackwing/ with air bridge
Lg longtubes, x pipe, corsa cat back

The car made 415 rw/400 tq according to speed incs dyno chart I have. (And it traps at almost 120 mph)

I would like more power, has anyone used t.e.a, or any other company to get their factory heads worked on, if so what type of power did you make after?
I was thinking about it because they offer great prices.

I really don't want to break the bank on a set of $2200 heads, and I have no intentions of spraying the car either.

I am just looking for options because its tax season and I want to spend some of it on the car.

I'm looking to get into a speedway white z06 next year. I thought the intake was improved on the 02 up cars with a few other things to result in the 20 hp spike for 01 to 02.

I think finding some ported heads is definately the right route to take, but on other option is looking into a new rearend gear. May not give you rwhp #s but will make the car feel like you gained a ton. With the t56 some say a 3.90 or steeper actually makes the car easier to drive... I am actually curious myself.

Call Mike Teideman up. He has built robz's motor and has also done wonders on the stock heads. 732-232-8174

Lighter valves, higher lift cam, revised MAF. Basically if you're going to swap cams and intake anyways then the '01/'02 are pretty much the same.

I am looking into a pulley, and to get those heads worked.. and some good tires...I'm usually spinning..

But, then I would end up doing roller rockers and hardened push rods..such a slippery slope

I would jusrt pick up a set of TSP stage 2 CNC ported 243 LS6 heads for around 1400 bucks fully assembled and just sell the ones you got for around 500... That way you are only 900 bucks into the heads and will probably pick up like 30RWHP...

Thanks I have found 3 in the last week ranging from less than 20,000 miles to 70,000 in the low 20's. Im ok with minor mods in order to avoid corvette tax. However there is a fine line on modded and abused. I have a hard time believing a car with cam supercharger heads full exhaust etc never took it to the strip it did burn outs like you see in many ads with those mods.
