So im tearing into my 4L60E. I have disassembled the valve body and removed the 2-4 accumulator. I pryed my front pump loose and it came out about an inch.. inch and a half. It wont come out any further. I pryed and pulled and nothing. Any ideas? do i need some bigger guns to pry on this or what? ive done a few 4wd 4ls but this is my first 2wd. Is there something I'm missing? Is there a snap ring that holds in the input clutch assembly or does it come out w/ the pump?

You are about to or have already broken your tcc switch,(it's the thing being held with two bolts right under your pump,) you have to pull it out first... slow down get a book atsg 4l60e manual can be ordered online or from a local Dacco/Detroit transmission supplier.

I believe the newer ones might also have a speed sensor

Take the o ring off the turbine shaft. It's stopping the stator shaft from sliding over it.
