Default 383 LS1 Clearancing

First 383 build (2004 LS1 GTO).

1. Will a Eagle 4" stroke crank and 6.125" rods require block clearancing?
2. Would a shop be able to do this at the same time as the cylinder honing(without the rotating assembly installed)?

Thanks

1. no. not that i am aware of, but every rox/crank/piston combo is different. i know some 4.100" cranks sometimes require block clearencing.

2. yes they could but if it does need it then they should have the assembly with them for best clearance issues

1. An aluminum block with 4.000" stroke and aftermarket rods will require clearancing.
2. Yes if they're worth taking your stuff to, should not cost more than around $125-150 to have this done if they're already doing the rest of the machine work.

Gotta love two conflicting opinions. From the little i've been able to find I do think it needs clearancing. Anyone else able to step in and clear everything up for me?
