Alright guys I havent been around for a while, but I am reaching out to as many different avenues as possible.

For those that do not know me personally, besides cars, my other hobby is keeping and breeding pythons. Now many of you heard all the hyped up BS about Florida and the Federal ban of 4 different pythons. Well first of all that is just absurd and backed by tons of bullshit and false science.

Anyways, now the state of Illinois is trying to ban ALL species of Boas and Pythons, and not just them. There are going to be frogs, lizards, and even some small mammals i believe such as prarie dogs, ferrets, and sugar gliders. All I am asking is for everyone to take 2 minutes out of their day and sign this petition.

Have everyone you know that lives in IL sign it and have them pass it on. This could be a serious job killer. I make alot of income off my snakes and if I am not able to breed and sell the babies, it is going to put a SERIOUS strain on my income. As well as thousands of other breeders. Anyways, thanks for the time guys and any help would be greatly appreciated by the entire reptile community!

And thats the kind of thinking that the general public has which is completely false. First no one haz ever been eaten by a snake in the united states. Hell there is only 2 documented cases of big snakes attempting to eat people. Both in 3rd world countries.

Secondly big snakes kill 1 person every 2 years in the united states. Compare that to dogs and even horses whose number are over 50 a year. Even attacks are extremely rare. You have a better chance of winning the lottery then ever getting attacked by a snake.

Why breed snakes? This is a wonderful hobby. I habe met numerous good people, traveled, and got to experience these animals unlike many other people. I educate as many people as I come into.contact with about thd truth about these animals and I can not tell you how many parents I have talked to that after spending some time with them have decided to buy their son or daughter a pet snake. Its a great feeling.

I guess in a way I could ask.you or any other person on this forum why camaros? Chances are you drag race, street race, or even occasionally push your car faster then the speed limit. You can get hurt or even die, but should we ban cars?

Is this due to the fact that they're non-native species and are all over subdivisions in southern florida now and fish and wildlife receive tons of calls to remove them?

The last few seasons have done a number on the non native population of snakes down in florida.. And there is no evidence that they can survive north of southern florida like many claim..

As with Pitbulls, its easier to place breed restrictions than to enforce the laws against thier owners.

Whats next?

There are non native snakes as far north as tennessee from this discovery channel show I just watched. They were also investigating central park in NY and trying to see if it was possible for them to spread that far north and live in the sewers eating rats all winter.

I personally don't care for snakes, but I certainly hope they don't pass laws that would hurt a person's income. Oh wait.....who am I kidding? They just passed Right to Work here in Indiana, so my job-screwing is coming :)
