Default Phoenix junkyards, car guy attractions, etc

I`m going to be coming down to phoenix in late march(round the 20th to 26th) for a friends wedding and I decided to blow a week off and spend some time before the wedding. I had been thinking of hitting some junkyards one of the days to see what was available for rust free 80`s monte carlo, malibu, el camino sheet metal and maybe ship a pallet back... after checking out the inventories of the yards I found online it doesn`t look like anyone has many late 70` early 80` cars. I found the usual specialty yards with 50`s to early 70`s cars and then the self serves seem to all list 90`s and newer mostly. So am I missing something or is that a bust?

Of course I`m going to hit a sox game while I`m down there being spring training and all. I didn`t see anything going on at firebird raceway(would have liked to catch the boat drags). Not sure yet if I`m going to make a run up to see the grand canyon or out to lake havasu city. Any big car cruises/events going on the 20th-24th?

Any other must see`s while I`m out there?

...if that's what you're into. (not that there's anything WRONG with that....)

Thanks, I completely forgot about speedworld, looks like they are racing bikes while I`m out there. Might have to go check it out.

Is DVAP a yard that you can walk through?
