LS4 Performance - how quick are 2012 Impalas?

Has anyone here ever driven one? I wonder how it compares to th ss sinch it has 300 hp plus a 6 speed.

GM claimed 6.6 second 0-60 times for the 3.6 liter Impala, so I'm guessing it should run somewhere around 14.7-15.2 in the quarter mile. Of course, manufacturers are pretty conservative in their performance estimates so you can probably knock .3 to.5 off both figures.

That makes it a reasonably quick large sedan.

I rented one a few months back and it felt ok, but it absolutely paled in comparison with my GXP. My wife actually destroyed me at a stoplight on the way back from the rental place lol. Biggest complaint power-wise was when passing, downshifts were very slow and you had to rev the hell out of it to get any power. Below about 4500rpms its really wimpy. Suspension absolutely SUCKS, too. No handling prowess whatsoever. I'd rather buy a *gasp* Fusion :)

300 hp yes, but not until 6500 rpm and torque is at 262 at 5300 rpm

in comparison for the LS4 its 303 hp stock(which no of our cars really are lol) at 5600 rpm, and 323 lb tq at 4400 rpm

fusions are so GAY and UGLY,i can bet you a million dollars a fusion would be far worse in every category than the Impala,ford SUCKS
