As for GM, "we can wait until the world ends, and if we need to, we will apologize," Ewanick's statement said.
"In the meantime, people who are really worried about the Mayan calendar coming true should buy a Silverado right away."

Great commercial IMO.
IIRC GM asked Ford to pull the commercial of the guy in the interview commenting on not buying a car from a car company that took bail out money.
The manufacturers taking jabs at each other only benefits us the consumer even more; since they will release better cars and trucks to try and one up each other.

What I dont understand is Toyota sits on the side and constantly attacks both ford and GM and they NEVER hit back. That would of been a perfect opportunity to throw "toyota" or he drove an import ect ect. I understand that Ford is GMs main rival in trucks, but if Ford and GM start hitting back at the imports, thats more sales for both of them.

It could just be that neither one feels all that threatened (justifiably so) whatsoever by the Tundra LOL.
It's good to have their little internal rivalries now and then, but they both need to look at the bigger picture too.
Various sports teams compete within their own nation throughout the year but when it comes time to go to the World Championships or the Olympics those who were once rivals suddenly become loving and loyal teammates as well. :thumb: ;)

because the truth is toyota full size trucks are a joke and ford and GM dont take them as a threat to sales. id even buy a dodge full size over a toyota.

that is what i thought of, i dont know why ford got mad, didnt they kind of go right at the zl1 with the release of the gt500s stats? i like the ford vs chevy ,thats how it should be, and i also agree that someone needs to take some shots at the import crowd,

Good commercial. Don't get mad Ford, get even.
They cant. When Ford did a commercial taking a stab at GM for the bailout money, GM bitched to their new daddy( the GOVT) that it wasnt right and they were stopped by the govt....
must be nice to have their protection huh....:hump:

Brilliant way to enter troll status at a GM site with your 6th post:gtfo:
BTW, you're the 10 millionth person to say that, guess what you win....:swing:
For the record, a restructure by Ford the year before with billions borrowed from the GOVT could be called a bailout by any other name. Honestly, I don't really care either way, but it's time to come up with an educated arguement, instead of beating a dead horse to death.

yes, enough already. they all took govt money and none are good examples of a properly run corp.
