Default Have a couple of questions before head swap, bear with me.

Ok so I'm still awaiting heads and was wondering since I got them milled .015 I was wondering if anybody can lead or tell me how to in lamens terms how to check for proper pushrod length. I know my brother has a pushrod checker but do I put the checker in closed all the way and load rockers @22lb-tq or what do I do? I currently have the 7.4's from the cam swap I did but not sure if they will work. Secondly how many of you or how important is it to run a trunion upgrade. And last but not least I will be replacing the lifter trays what is the stock torque rating to torque these puppies down? Thanks for taking the time to read my posting.

I recommend the trunion upgrade. GM improved the oem rockers a few years back, but I have seen some reliable reports of failure on the new version using oem cams.

cam on base circle. tighten rocker, open pushrod until there is 0 lash. count turns to close checker do the math, add preload (highly debated on what the proper preload is) voila pushrod length
