Where Mahle Pistons put into stock ls1/ls6 blocks from factory?
Just pulled my 35k motor cause of #7 and the pistons are mahle?
Numbers in the pistons are 99L744 and S061
Guess theres a little story behind it...
bought the car with H/C/I and none of the receipts show replaced pistons and was just curious.. thats all

Mahle has been a major OEM piston supplier for many years for several of the big automakers, and GM has been a big customer since at least the release of the LS1 in 97. Most of the German automakers use Mahle, and the N54 BMW twin turbo I6's all have forged Mahle's from the factory. Ford probably uses them on alot of their stuff, and it wouldn't surprise me if Chrysler does for the new Pentastars or Hemi's.
Given this I doubt your car has anything but the stock pistons.
