Dyno Guesses & Bench Racing Forum - Prediction on '12 370Z vs '01 Z28, winner?

I have a coworker who is really into the Nissans. His dream car is a Nissan 370Z. He will be purchasing one soon, the automatic, I think it's a 6 speed?

Anyways, if we went to the drag strip, lined 'em up. Who do you think would win and why?

FYI, he's never been to the strip before and I have. I'm fairly confident I can knock off my 13.57 time and get a 13.4, my launch on the 13.57 run was pretty weak.

Oh, and I'll guess that he'll win. Never having been to the drag strip before shouldn't matter, especially if he's an automatic. Having an auto pretty much takes the driver out of the equation, so unless he has a hard time figuring out where the staging lights are, I think he'll be okay.

You'll take him. I ran a 370z with my ex GF z28 and took it by a good car and half. Probably more. Torque isn't all that great in them

Get a set of long tubes, 3.73's, and a good street and dyno tune on that thing, and you'll put bus lengths on him. They're not as fast as magazines make them out to be.

Why don't you troll him and then back out of the race before it happens
