Default 63 Nova X275 Build 410" LSX 88mm

Many of you have seen my first thread on this build link below:
https://ls1tech.com/forums/forced-in...f1r-build.html

I had a hard time cutting up the Camaro really just did not want to do it because the car was so nice. I was considering selling it to find a more suitable car for what I want to do when I was contacted by a friend of a friend of a friend that had heard about my car and was looking to buy the rest is history as they say. I sold the Camaro rolling and went on the hunt for a replacement, I was looking for an older prostreet car and found the Nova which is perfect.

The Nova is mini tubbed still has the inside frame rail and is rolling on Landrum split mono leafs with a set of caltracs. It has a new Moser 35 spline 12 bolt under it, areospace disc all around, Heits front clip, Champion Cap 5 Beadlocks, Chromoly 8 point cage with some pretty extensive chromoly work under the floor tying the chassis together.

More to come and more pics to come tomorrow as I get more of the car part...Enjoy and let me know what you think!

i like it. and it should be fairly light also. sounds like all the right components is already in the roller so should be a sweet setup when completed.

Go the rest of the wiring and gauges out of the car today and gave it a much needed bath under the hood. Waiting on a new ididit steering column to show up so I can fix the abortion that is on it now for steering. A few pics more to come this weekend...

Finally got everything out of the car and got the carpet up this afternoon there is zero rust in this car which amazing, going to break out the plasma cutter tomorrow and extract the trans tunnel. There is very little room with a power glide in there much less my 4L80 that is going in! Hope to have the trans tunnel mods finished this week and stab the motor and trans in it this weekend! Stay tuned for more...

Making progress the motor is in the car waiting on my trans tunnel kit to show up, wish I had a slip roller I would have just made my own. There is a ton more room in the Nova than what I had in the Camaro everything fits much better.
I am shooting to have it up and going the first week of April I think I can make it if I don't have any road blocks pop up!

Finally got enough of the core support cut out to get the radiator in there is not much core support left LOL. The core support had a rough life before I got to it I welded in new metal where it is missing in the pic and took the core to be sand blasted so I can finish the metal work. All of this to fit the large radiator and fan but I am confident it will not have any over heating issues.

Got the trans tunnel parts today going to start fitting the trans and build the trans crossmember this weekend then finish up the tunnel then it is time for my least favorite part wiring. I have decided to sell my F1R going to go ahead and upgrade to an F2 so if anyone needs a F1R head unit mine is up for grabs at 2500.00 it is new!

Thanks Bob, glad you found my new thread! The car is a much better platform than the camaro was for what I want to do with it, and the fact that it is rust free sealed the deal for me. The paint is far from perfect but the plan is to get it together and sorted out this summer then blow it back apart for a repaint this coming winter.

Trans tunnel mods are complete new trans crossmember and driveshaft loop are in just need to finish a few odds and ends then install the motor and trans for the final time then I will start the wiring and plumbing...I am way more than ready to hear it run!
